KITE WORKSHOPS

Consider one of our kite making workshops.

A program can be arranged to suit the ages and abilities of the students. For group projects, school fêtes and town festivals themes may be incorporated into the kite project.

The topic of kites can lead into any of the following specific educational areas:

Indicative pricing:

• $ 175 (3 hours / 1/2 day) OR $ 300 (6 hrs)
• add long distance travel if required

All prices are in Australian dollars and do not include GST.

The maximum number of students depends on the number of helpers available. We can cater for large numbers.

A HISTORY OF KITES

Kites and kite-making have a history dating back 2,500 years.  Kite traditions have been passed to current times through stories legends, scientific research and developments, master kite makers and historians.

Man’s quest for flight and success is due to kites.  Current weather maps resulted from kites.  Kites have been used in rescues and observations.  They have told fortunes and appeased gods. Kites are an appealing toy or a competitive tool.
